Lisbon is the 2020 European Green Capital Award winner!

On June 21st 2018, Lisbon was awarded the title of European Green Capital 2020. The distinction was announced by the European Commissioner for Environment, Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, Karmenu Vella.

This is the recognition of the work that Lisbon has been developing over the last decade towards a greener and people-friendly city. It is the first time that a Southern European capital city has won this distinction.
